Mr Okoro holds a Bachelor of Laws degree (LL.B) as well as a Master of Laws degree (LL.M.). He was admitted as a Solicitor of the Supreme Court of England and Wales in February 2007 and he has worked in various Law Firms as an Assistant Solicitor, Associate Solicitor and a Consultant Solicitor. He is currently a Partner and SRA approved manager with Curling Moore Solicitors & Advocates, a Firm of solicitors based in Canary Wharf. Mr Okoro specialises in Employment law, Company and Commercial law practice, Immigration law and Litigation. Mr Okoro is noted for his ability to grasp and analyse complex legal issues, pay attention to details and conduct thorough research. He enjoys travelling, reading and tennis.

LYNN NUTTALL

Graduate of Homerton College, constituent college of University of Cambridge

Lynn attended Homerton College, Cambridge as a mature student and has a Bachelor of Education degree and Qualified Teacher Status.
She worked as a primary school teacher for 12 years and was Deputy Head of Sharjah English School in the U.A.E.
A Local Authority appointed governor at Ashdon school in Essex for the last 8 years, she is responsible for monitoring their Safeguarding, Special Educational Needs and is also a member of the Curriculum And Pay committees.

TRACEY ELDRIDGE

Director, Trustee and Executive Committee member of the Education Law Association (ELAS)

Tracey was educated at Davison Church of England High School for Girls and Worthing Sixth Form College; she has a BA (Hons) Law from Kingston Polytechnic, now Kingston University, and was admitted as a Solicitor in 1990.

She has over 29 years experience specialising in all areas of education law; advising education institutions, local authorities, parents and young people on admissions, exclusions, special educational needs and disability, parental complaints, public law, child protection and safeguarding.

Tracey is a Director Trustee and Executive Committee member of the Education Law Association (ELAS) and a member of the Law Society.

NWAMAKA AKUKWE

Independent Reviewing Officer and Social Worker

Nwamaka has held various roles within professional social work over a career of 20 years. She has worked briefly in the voluntary sector and predominantly in the Local Authorities’ Children Services.
Her various roles aimed at meeting the holistic needs of children/ young people through supporting them to achieve the best life outcomes possible for them.  She has worked collaboratively with children/young people, their parents /carers, families/connected persons and various other professionals, to promote positive outcomes for children/young people, challenging services, practices, and prejudices when needed.
She has witnessed the positive impact which quality and inclusive educational opportunities can have in enhancing life learning, experiences and achievement for children /young people including those with additional needs. In this regard she shares the commitment of this school to all its students.
She studied in Nigeria and the United kingdom and has qualifications including BA (English) and LLB.

Dr. ADESOLA SEWO

Specialty Doctor on Rosewood MBU, Kent and Medway NHS & Social Care Partnership Trust

Dr Adesola Sewo obtained a bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (M.B.Ch.B) degree from Obafemi Awolowo College of Health Sciences, Ogun State University, Nigeria (now called  Olabisi Onabanjo University).

Dr Sewo subsequently completed her Postgraduate training in Psychiatry in Nigeria (National Postgraduate Certificate) before proceeding to the UK for further Postgraduate training in Psychiatry at Guy’s and St Thomas’ Hospital.

She has worked as a psychiatrist with the NHS for over 24 years. Due to her special interest in Obstetrics and Gynaecology- caring for mothers, and Paediatrics-children’s health whilst as a trainee doctor, she grabbed the opportunity to join the Perinatal Mental Health Services in 2018 where she continues to care for the mental health needs of women during pregnancy and until one year postpartum.

Dr Sewo is involved in supervising, teaching and supporting junior doctors and trainees in their career development.

Dr Sewo is currently raising a young person with special needs which has further driven her passion for supporting young vulnerable people to achieve the best possible outcome in their lives both socially and academically. With their exceptional talents, they can make invaluable contributions to the community and society at large.

 

Dr. JOHN BABALOLA

Consultant Psychiatrist/Associate Clinical Director for Community Services – Newham

Special interest in Neuro-Psychiatry and Bipolar Affective Disorder

Dr John Babalola trained at the reputable Obafemi Awolowo University and completed his postgraduate training at Guy’s and St Thomas’s hospital. Dr Babalola has been practicing as a Consultant Psychiatrist with the NHS for over 16 years and has a special interest in Neuropsychiatry and Bipolar Affective Disorder. Dr Babalola has presented and spoken at several national and international conferences and has a strong passion for teaching. He was awarded the “Bart’s Hospital NHS teacher of the year” in 2014 and a member of the Special Interest Group on Neuropsychiatry and affective disorders (SIGN) at the Royal College of Psychiatrists, England. Dr Babalola is an Associate Clinical Director at an NHS Foundation Trust and is very much involved in postgraduate and undergraduate teaching. A mentor for several junior and senior doctors across the NHS and private health sector Dr Babalola is involved in several projects in Nigeria which look to empower doctors and nurses across the country and improve their professional and personal development through mentorship, advice and practical support. Dr Babalola and his wife set up NaijAid a British based charity which looks to empower Nigerian doctors and nurses by improving their knowledge base, it also sponsors free health care for the less well-off and provides a number of free health clinics in Nigeria while also promoting and preserving health of under privileged citizens in Nigeria.

FREDA JACOBSON

Managing Director of Eden College and Edenberries Day Nursery and Pre School. Trained  and qualified Careers, Adviser and Teacher

Freda is trained and qualified assessor and IQA she also holds a MA in Education has a passion to see   children, young people and adults achieve their full potential. She is particularly interested in seeing young girls and women empowered   and encouraged to succeed in their selected career areas. In addition, she champions and supports all age groups from all back grounds to gain the right level of training and qualifications.  

Since setting up Eden College and Edenberries Day Nursery and Pre School with very little enterprise skills and knowledge, know -how and very little support twenty years ago she has been empowered and encouraged to support others in the same way. She is a strong advocate in supporting and sharing lessons learnt, knowledge and skills with colleagues, friends, relatives   in their desired and selected career paths and business ventures.
